Nestled in the majestic wilderness of Giant Sequoia National monument, Far Horizons is a reteat center located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, 7200 feet high in the Sierra, an hour east of Fresno.

For over 50 years, people have visited Far Horizons to participate in diverse programs and workshops.  Founded as a non-profit educational organization in 1954 by GV and Mary Hull.  Far Horizons was created to promote a connection to nature, and an opportunity for personal and community growth.

Today, Far Horizons offers a convenient and vital natural setting for exploring nature,  group activities, quiet reflection, and just fun.  While the programs offer group participation and interaction, there is always plenty of free time to utilize our location as a “base camp” for exploring the National Monument and Park, for hiking, horseback riding, swimming and many other outdoor activities.
