Here at last is a professional writer teaching writing, not from theory alone, but from hard practice. This experiential workshop offers a balance of solid craft with intuitive skills.
Catherine Ann Jones is an award-winning playwright & screenwriter whose films include Unlikely Angel (Dolly Parton), The Christmas Wife (Jason Robards), and the television series, Touched By an Angel. She co-wrote the independent film, Angel Passing (Hume Cronyn/Calista Flockhart), which played at Sundance then garnered fifteen awards both in America and abroad. As a New York playwright, ten plays were produced both in and out of New York City as well as several articles and short stories. She has served on the writing faculty at The New School (N.Y.C), University of Southern California (U.S.C.), and the Esalen Institute. A Fulbright Research Scholar to India and winner of the National Endowment for the Arts Award, Ms. Jones, also teaches in the Psyche and Sacred Seminars at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Author of The Way of Story: the Craft & Soul of Writing, she lives in Ojai, works as a story and script consultant, and lectures internationally.
