History

Far Horizons Camp was founded in 1954 by G.V. and Mary Hull. The camp was created as a practical experiment in applying theosophical principles to daily life. The Theosophical Society is a worldwide organization founded in 1875 and dedicated to better understanding our place in the universe as well as the purpose and meaning in our lives.

A central premise of Theosophy (also called the ageless wisdom) is that we are all one. Respect for every religious tradition is a prominent theosophical principle. Membership in the Theosophical Society, or in the camp itself, is not required.
