What is mindfulness? In this retreat, we will steep in the wisdom teachings of being‑ness … being present in the moment of now while engaging in a gentle and friendly quality of attention. Participants will experience mindfulness from a variety of perspectives including sitting with breath practices, guided meditations, and gentle movement. The wisdom practices of loving kindness will be explored as a meditative quality and also as an essential tool for living life from the heart.

Natalie Garvey‑De Leon, LMFT, is a Marriage and Family Therapist in Fresno, California. Since 2011, she has been leading meditation retreats and facilitating meditation groups. She currently facilitates a weekly meditation group in the Fresno area. She shares mindfulness teachings and practices that offer a safe refuge from life stressors. For years, Natalie has found personal solace and balance from her personal meditation practice; in her professional life, she has witnessed the power of mindfulness to create healing and transformation for clients. Thursday

  • 6:30 – 7:30 – Evening Dinner
  • 7:30 – 9:00 – Evening Introductory Session

Friday – Saturday

  • 8:00 – Breakfast
  • 10:00 – Noon – Morning Session
  • 12:30 – Lunch
  • 6:00 – Dinner
  • 7:00 – 9:00 – Evening Session

Afternoons are generally open to explore the Parks, hike, swim, socialize, read, rest, or enjoy other activities.

Sunday morning session after breakfast: 10 a.m. – noon. Program adjourns after Sunday lunch.
